Breathwork
In these sessions, breath becomes a bridge between your mind and body. As the breath deepens and finds a rhythm, the constant activity of the thinking mind begins to soften, creating space for the body to come online leading deeper sensations, emotions, and insights to rise to the surface.
Many of us move through life âholding on.â
Holding onto the stress, the emotions we didnât feel safe to express, the lived experiences we havenât fully processed. All that âstuffâ is being held in our body.
Breathwork creates a safe and supportive space to begin tending to what has been held there. And when the body is given permission to open, there is often something beautiful waiting on the other side.
How I hold my clients...
The first step in our work together is simply arriving in the present moment and deciding that you are safe here. Real somatic self-inquiry begins from a foundation of safety.
From there, we connect to your intention for the session, because where intention goes, energy flows. I will then guide you through an active breathwork technique for 30 minutes. Each session may feel different, but the body knows what it is ready for and where it wants the breath to go.
After the active portion of the practice, you will have space to rest in what I like to call receivership - letting go of the breath while staying present with yourself in a more subtle, open state. From there, we will have time to connect, reflect on what came up, and explore how to support the integration of your practice.
